
INDIA – Nestle India has appointed Edouard Mac Nab, currently head of finance and control at Nestle Canada, as its new chief financial officer effective March 1, 2026.
He will succeed Svetlana Boldina, whose term as Nestlé India’s CFO is set to end on January 31, 2026. Mac Nab joined the Company in February 2022 as CFO of Nestlé France and moved to his current role in September 2024.
He has previously held senior finance positions at Reckitt, Mead Johnson Nutrition, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Nestlé India stresses local production, no link to global infant formula recalls
Nestlé India has confirmed that it does not import or sell any of the affected products or batches that have been withdrawn or recalled. All infant formula brands sold in India are manufactured locally.
“At Nestlé India, the safety and well-being of our consumers is our top priority. All our products are in full compliance with FSSAI and applicable rules and regulations.
“Following the detection of a quality issue with an ingredient provided by a leading supplier, Nestlé has initiated a precautionary recall/withdrawal in some countries for certain infant formula product batches produced in Europe. No illnesses have been confirmed in connection with the products involved to date.”
Nestle India signs MoU with government to expedite investment in food sector
Recently, Nestle India signed an MoU with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries to expedite investments in greenfield and brownfield projects across Odisha and existing manufacturing sites over the next 2-3 years.
This initiative, part of its US$564 million (Rs 5,000 crore) expansion plan by 2025, aims to create employment and boost capabilities, including a new factory in Odisha.
Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary said the MoU is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities, which reinforces its commitment to “India’s growth story”.
In 2022, the Swiss FMCG major announced it would invest Rs 5,000 crore in expansion in India by 2025.
Nestle India is investing in new capabilities and capacities, by increasing product lines in existing factories and setting up the Sanand factory in Gujarat, for Confectionery and Prepared Dishes and Cooking aids, according to the latest annual report of the company. The company said its tenth factory in India is on the anvil in Odisha.
