The farm is set to house 6,000 Holstein-Friesian cattle and produce 70,000 tons of milk annually.

KAZAKHSTAN – Eurasia Invest LTD, specialising in mares’ and camels’ milk production, has announced the construction of a modern commercial dairy farm in the Rodnikov rural area of Ossakarov district.
The farm is set to house 6,000 Holstein-Friesian cattle and produce 70,000 tons of milk annually.
According to Ivan Georgiadi, founder of Eurasia Invest LTD, the first phase of the project is scheduled to be commissioned this year. The company has already bought the first batch of Holstein-Friesian cows.
“The farm will have its own forage reserve. We have already planted almost one thousand hectares of corn and alfalfa,” he said.
To ensure sustainability, Eurasia Invest LTD has planted 1,000 hectares of corn and alfalfa for forage and plans to install 120 irrigation sprinklers. Additionally, a vegetable storehouse with a 12,000-ton capacity will be built to support the farm’s operations.
Governor Yermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the construction site, emphasising the farm’s significance in reducing import dependence and strengthening domestic dairy production.
“This is a very important project. Recently we have commissioned a dairy farm for 1200 cattle head in Nura districts. With the new initiatives, we will be able to fully meet the need in domestic raw materials of our dairy farms and reduce import dependence,” Governor Yermaganbet Bulekpayev said.
Danone to invest US$6.9M in its Kazakhstan facility
Recently, Danone announced plans to invest US$6.9 million in its plant in the Almaty region in 2025 and 2026 to increase annual production to 40,000 tons.
The project was officially announced by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Agriculture, following discussions between government officials from Kazakhstan and France. In a statement, the ministry said Danone wants to double the plant’s exports.
The plant currently produces over 18,000 tons of dairy products annually, with one-third of its output exported to countries in the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia.
With the planned expansion, Danone seeks to increase production to 40,000 tons, enabling the company to meet growing regional demand and explore new export markets, including the Middle East and China.
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture, Aidarbek Saparov, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing its potential to strengthen the country’s role as a reliable supplier of dairy products to Asia and the Middle East.
The expansion aligns with Danone’s broader strategy in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which encompasses operations across the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.
