Masaka Farms launches cream cheese
Recently, the company launched cream cheese in Kigali, bringing a new culinary delight to local shops.
The announcement made on April 16, 2025, marked a significant expansion of the company’s product line, offering residents a versatile and flavorful addition to their meals.
According to the company, the cream cheese is now available in various retail outlets across the city, catering to breakfast, lunch, and snack preferences.
The introduction of cream cheese aligns with Masaka’s mission to deliver beloved products, committed to quality and community impact.
“We’re thrilled to bring this creamy, tasty delight to Kigali,” said Masaka Farms. “It’s perfect for sandwiches, snacks, or breakfast spreads, and we believe it will become a household favorite.”
The launch comes as Masaka Creamery continues to grow its footprint in Rwanda’s dairy market.
Masaka has invested in advanced processing equipment, supported by a US$280,000 grant from USAID in 2018, which enhanced production capacity and enabled the development of new products like sour cream and thick yoghurt.
These efforts have strengthened Masaka’s distribution network, reaching districts such as Nyagatare, Rubavu, and Huye, and now bringing cream cheese to Kigali’s shelves.
Masaka Creamery’s focus on quality is evident in its certifications from the Rwanda Standards Board, the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority, and HACCP, ensuring the production of safe and high-standard products.
The company’s inclusive employment practices, with 60% of its workforce being persons with disabilities, further underscore its social impact.
