FanMilk signs MoU with Accra Technical University to boost industry-academia

GHANA – FanMilk Ghana has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accra Technical University (ATU) to help develop the next generation of skilled professionals to advance industry-academia.

Through this partnership, we will co-create opportunities for students to gain practical industry exposure, access graduate development and employment opportunities, and recognise outstanding talent in Refrigeration Technology, an area that is integral to our operations.

According to FanMilk, the collaboration will also create value for its people, with opportunities for its operations teams to benefit from practical learning, development and specialised training.

FanMilk stated, “We believe the future of industry depends on how intentionally we develop the next generation of talent while continuously investing in the growth of our people. This MoU is another step towards building capabilities, strengthening skills and creating opportunities for both students and professionals to thrive.”

FanMilk Ghana empowers street vendors with ‘Right to Dream’ initiative

In 2024, the company reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable job creation and the empowerment of street vendors by unveiling seven fully-equipped shops under its ‘Right to Dream’ initiative.

Launched earlier that year, the program is set to provide 15 beneficiaries across the country with equipped shops, offering a clear pathway for growth within the company’s supply chain.

The ‘Right to Dream’ initiative revealed FanMilk’s dedication to uplifting communities by fostering sustainable employment opportunities.

This program provides ongoing coaching and business advisory support to new agents, equipping them with the necessary skills to manage their earnings effectively.

By doing so, FanMilk aims to help them build sustainable businesses that can support their families.

In addition to the infrastructure and coaching, the initiative includes the “Right to Dream” Award Scheme, designed to recognize and reward loyal street vendors whose efforts have significantly contributed to the widespread presence of Fan Milk products in Ghana.

This initiative aligns with the broader vision of FanMilk’s parent company, Danone, particularly its “Danone Impact Journey” pillar, which emphasizes thriving with people and communities.

By investing in the skills and capabilities of its partners, FanMilk aims to prepare them for future challenges while fostering a sense of pride in their roles.
