Lactalis Botswana appoints Cyril Clement as Country Manager

BOTSWANA – Lactalis Botswana has announced the appointment of Cyril Clement as Country Manager, marking a new chapter in the company’s leadership journey.

In his new role, Clement will be responsible for steering Lactalis Botswana’s operations, strengthening its market presence, and driving innovation in the dairy sector. 

Cyril joins the Botswana team from Lactalis Hong Kong, where he served successfully as Country Manager. Since joining the Lactalis Group in 2014, he has built a strong track record across several key commercial roles, culminating in his leadership of the Hong Kong operations.

“With his diverse international experience, proven leadership capability and strong commercial acumen, Cyril is well positioned to lead the Botswana business to the next level,” the company stated.

His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to reinforcing its footprint in Southern Africa, ensuring that consumers continue to enjoy high-quality dairy products backed by global expertise and local relevance.

Clement brings with him a wealth of experience in the dairy and food industries, having held senior leadership positions that emphasize operational excellence, strategic growth, and team development. 

His leadership style is expected to foster collaboration, enhance efficiency, and align Lactalis Botswana’s objectives with the broader vision of Lactalis Group worldwide.

In 2025, Primie Moipolai, General Manager of Lactalis Botswana, was named one of Botswana’s Top 100 Influential CEOs by The Top 100 Executive List Awards – Botswana Edition.

Under her stewardship, the company stated that the organization has not only grown in scale but has also deepened its commitment to innovation, integrity, and community empowerment.

The main group reported US$11.75 billion (€10 billion) in revenue, recording a significant milestone in the Americas (North, Central and South), for the first time.

According to the company, the integration of General Mills’ yogurt activities in the United States—representing US$1.2 billion in revenue, nearly 1,000 employees and two production sites—marked a strategic turning point.
