KENYA – Bio Food Products Ltd has appointed Jos Borger as General Manager, responsible for the company’s performance, growth, and operations, as well as day-to-day management.
According to the company, since joining Team Bio in March 2023, Jos Borger has been a key driver in ensuring that the company delivers on the Bio promise: providing consumers with the cleanest, healthiest, and best-tasting dairy products.
As Chief of Staff, he drove strategic initiatives, strengthened operational discipline, and supported timely, well-informed decision-making at the leadership level.
The company noted, “Together with our CEO, Joachim Westerveld, he will accelerate strategic initiatives, and champion the company’s next phase of growth by ensuring that the organization is well positioned to scale upward, to partner with more farmers, and to delight more consumers with the cleanest, healthiest and best tasting dairy products.”
Additionally, the company appointed Irene Wanjohi as Head of Marketing, reflecting her growth and contributions to the company.
According to the company, her deep understanding of market trends, strategic thinking, and passion for developing high-performing teams have already made a significant impact on Bio Food Products Ltd.
With over a decade of experience in brand building, category development, and commercial strategy within the food & beverage industry across Africa, Irene has played a crucial role in driving growth.
In her new role, she will focus on: Marketing strategy and innovation, category and channel development, route-to-market execution and building high-performing marketing teams.
Concurrently, the company reinforced its commitment to building a more inclusive and sustainable dairy ecosystem in Kenya by introducing its latest milk-collection and service centre.
Through this new facility, the company aims to implement quality-based pricing that rewards excellence in milk production, reduce input costs for farmers, and promote long-term sustainability across the value chain.
In 2024, the company reaffirmed its mission to ensure everyone has access to safe and healthy food, both now and in the future, through targeted efforts to support smallholder dairy farmers and promote sustainable agriculture practices.
It emphasized on several strategic goals: enhancing the profitability and productivity of smallholder farmers, deepening partnerships with dairy farms, and implementing Quality-Based Milk Pricing (QBMP) systems.
