Humphreys previously served as Darigold’s Chief Financial Officer.

USA – Darigold, the processing arm of the Northwest Dairy Association (NDA), has promoted Amy Humphreys to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1 2025.
Humphreys succeeds Allan Huttema, who led the company through a pivotal period beginning in 2023, and will return to his Idaho dairy farm as an NDA member-owner.
She takes on the CEO role at Darigold as the company opens a new production facility in Pasco, Wash., and works to drive growth opportunities and efficiencies enabled by the new plant.
Tim Kuenzi, Chairman of Darigold’s board and an NDA member in Oregon, said, “Amy brings a proven track record in leadership with vertically integrated food businesses like Darigold, and a keen focus on business performance, responsible and sustainable resource management, value expansion, and business transformation – all critical skills as Darigold continues our transformation aimed at modernization and growth.”
Humphreys has held C-level executive positions in the food manufacturing, petroleum, and other sectors.
She also serves as a board director for both private and publicly held companies and is a member of the Economic Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Board’s 12th District and the Nominating Committee for CoBank, a significant financial institution serving farms and agricultural businesses.
Darigold opens its US$1B dairy processing facility
The appointment comes after the company opened its new facility at Pasco, producing butter and powdered milk products for customers across the USA and in some 30 countries worldwide.
According to the company, the new plant will process up to 8 million pounds of milk per day from more than 100 regional farms and is expected to employ nearly 200 people directly, while also supporting up to 1,000 jobs in total through transportation, warehousing, and farm labour.
Additionally, the new Pasco facility is also central to Darigold’s alignment with USA Dairy’s 2050 stewardship goals.
It incorporates a variety of innovative technologies and conservation strategies that are projected to provide a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
Key sustainability features include Low-emission burner technology in milk dryers, which significantly reduces nitrogen oxide emissions.
The facility is strategically located within the multimodal Port of Pasco and is close to more than 100 member farms, which creates transportation efficiencies and reduces logistics-related emissions, including road miles.
