The program provides fresh milk once a week to primary school pupils in Ikun-Amure.

NIGERIA – Promasidor Nigeria, a dairy manufacturer, has officially launched Ikun Milk Day, a corporate social responsibility and social impact initiative designed to enhance child nutrition and support education in Ikun Amure, Ekiti State.

The company said that through the initiative, primary school pupils in five local schools will receive fresh milk once a week alongside nutrition and dairy farming sessions, adding that the programme reflects its ongoing commitment to health education and community development.

Speaking on behalf of Promasidor Nigeria’s CEO, Francois Gillet, Corporate Affairs & IDF Director Dr. Eno Udoma-Eniang highlighted the importance of the initiative.

She noted that it represents a key milestone for their dairy farm operations in Ikun-Ekiti, but more importantly, it will directly benefit the children in the community.

She emphasized that the project was driven by a commitment to give back in a meaningful and sustainable way, stating that its impact extends beyond milk distribution, as research has shown that proper nutrition plays a critical role in cognitive development and academic performance.

Governor Oyebanji, in his remarks, said: “This initiative is not just about milk, it’s about securing the future of our children. The provision of milk would not only boost the health of the pupils but also encourage higher public-school enrollment and attendance. Promasidor has shown what a true partnership with the people looks like, by turning local resources into lasting community value.
