Müller, Myprotein unveil new RTD protein shake and high-protein yogurts

The new products build on Müller’s strong reputation for producing delicious items, while leveraging Myprotein’s expertise in sports nutrition.

UK – Müller, a German-headquartered dairy company, has partnered with Myprotein to launch ready-to-drink (RTD) protein shakes and a duo of high-protein yoghurts, expanding their footprints.

The companies stated that the RTD protein shakes are in chocolate and strawberry flavours, each providing 25g of protein and a low-fat, no-added-sugar formulation.

The yoghurts are designed for on-the-go consumption and provide 20g of protein per 180g pot. Flavours include strawberry yoghurt with chocolate granola and vanilla yoghurt with chocolate crunch balls.

Richard Williams, CEO of Müller Yogurt & Desserts, said: “Over the last year we’ve been laser focused on continuing to optimise our health and nutrition range, and the unique partnership we launched with Myprotein last year has been key in this ambition”.

He stated that their collaboration had contributed to the expansion of the dairy protein category by attracting health-conscious consumers who sought nutritious and flavorful products to support their lifestyles

Both companies added that the new yoghurt and protein shake products build on Müller’s strong reputation for producing delicious items, while leveraging Myprotein’s expertise in sports nutrition will help attract more consumers to the category and contribute to overall growth across the value chain.

Neil Mistry, CEO of THG Nutrition, the parent company of MyProtein, said, “Our partnership with Müller has clearly struck a chord with everyday consumers, and we’re just getting started”. This latest launch gives shoppers even more high-protein choices, proving that active nutrition can be accessible, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable.”

Muller joins Dairy UK

Recently, Muller announced that it has joined Dairy UK, a processor-led organisation, to enhance industry collaboration.

Dairy UK, which represents farmer-owned co-operatives and private dairy firms, focuses on promoting the consumption of British dairy products both domestically and internationally.

Muller UK & Ireland stated that its membership in Dairy UK would enable both organisations to collaborate more effectively and lead the British dairy sector in facing current challenges and seizing new opportunities.

The British dairy sector is currently grappling with a wide range of issues, and Muller believes that greater cooperation and leadership will be key to addressing these.

Dr. Judith Bryans, Chief Executive of Dairy UK, welcomed Muller’s membership, stating, “We’re delighted to confirm Müller to our membership, marking a significant step forward for industry collaboration. This reflects the value of collective action in addressing the pressing challenges and opportunities facing the UK dairy sector today.”
