The central theme of the meeting was the preparation of Ukraine’s dairy sector for the new EU animal welfare standards, which will take effect on January 1, 2026.
This comes as trade between Ukraine and the EU will revert to the terms outlined in the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
The country is currently constructing and modernising 125 dairy farms, primarily in the central and western regions.
