The ban on dairy products was announced by Russia’s Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) on Friday.
The company stated that milk procurement prices continued to rise faster than realization prices, keeping gross margins under pressure.
Deliveries have already begun under the first contract, while implementation of a second agreement is now underway.
The collaboration involves food research organisation Nizo, which has endorsed the new guidance, as well as HAS Green Academy, Wageningen University & Research and 11 industry partners.
The products use Chobani’s strained Greek yogurt and pair it with ingredients including freeze-dried fruit, nuts, cocoa pieces and crunchy crisps.
