Dairy farmers will soon earn more for producing high-quality milk as the government shifts from quantity-based to quality-based payments.
The site will span 117,000 hectares of agricultural land and is designed to support 270,000 dairy cows.
The investment is expected to increase local dairy production, create jobs and stimulate economic activities in Ogun West.
The meeting was attended by Chief Officers Felistus Mutune and Japheth Kiminza, together with key stakeholders in the dairy value chain.
According to Museveni, the project will strengthen Uganda’s dairy sector, promote value addition and create opportunities for farmers.
