Prior to joining SIG, Ann held senior financial, operational and strategic roles during more than 20 years at Henkel.

SWITZERLAND – SIG has appointed Ann-Kristin Erkens as CEO, effective immediately, to replace Mikko, who will continue as CFO until a successor is appointed.
Ann-Kristin Erkens joined SIG as CFO in November 2023 and served as interim CEO from August 2025 until the end of February 2026.
Ann-Kristin Erkens said: “SIG has a strong business, leading technology and long-standing customer relationships. Our priorities are clear: focus our resources on the areas where we can grow our business to create the greatest value for our customers and shareholders, further improve operational performance, and maintain strict cost and capital discipline. I look forward to working with the SIG team to deliver on these priorities.”
Mr Mikko Keto joined SIG as CEO in the spring of this year and worked with the leadership team to further develop the Company’s transformation agenda.
As CEO, he executed a comprehensive business transformation, including a financial and operational reset, portfolio optimization through both a major divestment and a merger, and a global efficiency and cost-reduction program. Mr Keto doubled the value of FLSmidth during his tenure.
The company launched a transformation program in the second half of last year that started to show results, as evidenced in the H1 2026 results.
Reported net income reached €67.8 million (approximately US$72.6 million), compared to €15.6 million in Q1 2025, largely fuelled by unrealised gains from polymer derivatives and aluminium, alongside reduced depreciation.
The Company made good progress in the first half of 2026, improving its adjusted EBIT margin to 15.6% (compared with 14.8% in the prior-year period), while free cash flow improved by more than €100 million year-on-year.
Additionally, it continued to strengthen operational efficiency and cost discipline and to sharpen its focus on aseptic system solutions. SIG’s full-year 2026 financial guidance was confirmed in the H1 2026 earnings release and remains unchanged.
Recently, Euromilk, one of Slovakia’s leading dairy producers, continued its long-standing partnership with SIG to install a new SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic filling machine.
The SIG filling technology, featuring unique volume and packaging material flexibility, will help Euromilk meet growing demand for its products, including white and flavored milks, cream, and plant-based beverages.
