Mother Dairy reports US$2.2B turnover in FY26

The company has now set a 20% revenue growth target for 2026-27.

INDIA – Mother Dairy has reported a 17% rise in turnover to US$2.16 billion (Rs 20,300 crore) in the last fiscal, supported by strong demand for milk products and cooking oils.

The company, one of the leading milk suppliers in Delhi-NCR, said it is not considering a milk price increase at present despite higher input costs.

Managing Director Jayateertha Chary said the company delivered both volume and value growth in the previous fiscal and credited the performance to “consumer trust” in its products.

Of the total turnover, the dairy business contributed more than US$1.59 billion (Rs 15,000 crore), while edible oils and horticulture segments together contributed around US$531 million (Rs 5,000 crore).

About 63 per cent of revenue came from Delhi-NCR, while the rest was generated from other parts of India.

Value-added dairy products, which contributed over 23%, and edible oils, which accounted for 25%, were key drivers of turnover growth. The milk business also outpaced industry growth with an 11% rise in volumes.

He added, “Our input costs for milk procurement have increased. Prices of packaging materials have gone up by 20 per cent. We are currently absorbing the rise in input cost, and we are not contemplating any increase in prices as of now.”

Regarding category expansion, the company is not planning to enter new segments but will expand its range within existing categories. Mother Dairy has recently introduced ‘raita’ and continues to launch new ice cream variants.

The company is also progressing with a US$212 million (Rs 2,000 crore) capital expenditure plan to expand its dairy and horticulture businesses.

New plants are being set up in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, with completion expected by the end of next calendar year.

Quick commerce contributed 5% to the company’s total turnover, with sales from the channel growing rapidly amid rising digital adoption and wider consumer access.

Mother Dairy has expanded its distribution network to more than 95 cities, achieving full coverage across metros and Tier-II markets.

Known for brands Mother Dairy, Safal and Dhara, the company now has a presence across 16 States with a reach of 4 lakh retail outlets.

In Delhi-NCR alone, the company has over 800 milk booths and about 350 fruits & vegetables booths run by retail partners.
