Kerry to launch regional food and beverage co-creation centre in Dubai

The new centre will strengthen Kerry’s Middle East footprint and accelerate sustainable food and beverage innovation through customer collaboration.

UAE – Kerry, a global provider of sustainable taste and nutrition solutions, has signed a long-term lease agreement with Expo City Dubai to establish a Regional Customer Co-Creation Centre, reinforcing its expansion strategy in the Middle East.

The agreement marks a key milestone in Kerry’s regional growth and reflects its commitment to advancing food and beverage innovation in one of the world’s fastest-growing and most dynamic markets.

The new facility will be located at Expo City Dubai, the UAE’s first Green Innovation District and a global hub focused on sustainability, innovation and future-oriented development.

Designed as a state-of-the-art research, development and applications hub, the Kerry centre will enable closer collaboration with customers across the region.

By leveraging Kerry’s scientific expertise and global capabilities, the facility will support customers throughout the product development journey, from early-stage concepts to commercialisation, helping to accelerate the delivery of market-ready solutions.

Peter Dillane, President and CEO of Kerry APMEA, said the partnership highlights the company’s ambition to deepen its regional capabilities.

He noted that Expo City Dubai provides a strong platform for collaboration, innovation and research, aligning with Kerry’s focus on sustainable and nutrition-led solutions.

Dillane also acknowledged the role of UAE and Irish government leaders in supporting investment, innovation and economic cooperation within the food technology sector.

The Regional Customer Co-Creation Centre is intended to enhance customer engagement and speed up innovation across Kerry’s portfolio.

It will support the development of solutions focused on taste, proactive health, enzymes, and food protection and preservation, tailored to evolving consumer needs in the Middle East and international markets.

In addition, the centre will aim to foster a collaborative ecosystem by connecting food and beverage manufacturers with academic institutions, government bodies and industry experts. This integrated approach is expected to strengthen innovation outcomes while supporting the development of more sustainable and nutritious food systems.

Marjan Faraidooni, Chief of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai, said Kerry’s presence complements the district’s mission to host organisations working toward sustainable transformation. She noted that Kerry’s expertise in nutrition and food science will add value to the Expo City ecosystem as it continues to promote resilient and decarbonised industrial development.

Expo City Dubai continues to attract global companies seeking to operate in a sustainability-focused environment, with an emphasis on research, innovation and cross-sector collaboration.

Kerry’s investment further supports the district’s role as a regional centre for food technology and sustainable industry.

With the new facility, Kerry aims to strengthen customer partnerships, enhance innovation capabilities and contribute to the development of future-ready food and beverage solutions across the Middle East and beyond.
