INDIA – Tetra Pak has unveiled a focused range of dairy-centric innovations at Drinktec India 2025, highlighting integrated solutions designed to lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) for milk and dairy-beverage manufacturers.
With rising input costs and increasing pressure on margins, the company emphasised technologies that minimise energy and water usage, reduce product loss, and improve overall line efficiency.
Tetra Pak showcased advanced systems for recombined milk, UHT processing, fortified dairy beverages, and value-added categories such as high-protein and lactose-free products segments, which are rapidly expanding in India’s evolving dairy market.
A key highlight was the introduction of India-produced carton packaging with 5% recycled polymer content, reinforcing the company’s push toward cost-effective sustainability and improved shelf-life solutions.
The company also underlined the benefits of modular and scalable processing lines, which enable both cooperatives and private dairies to upgrade capacity without significant operational disruption.
By integrating processing efficiency with next-generation packaging, Tetra Pak aims to help dairy producers enhance profitability, strengthen supply-chain performance, and accelerate their shift toward premium, functional dairy offerings.
Saurabh Sinha, Managing Director, Tetra Pak said, “India’s beverage industry is at an inflection point–where cost leadership, innovation, and sustainability are no longer independent goals, but interdependent imperatives.
“At Tetra Pak, we see these solutions not merely as a tool for productivity, but as an enabler of transformation–helping producers deliver more with less, while reducing their environmental footprint. Our showcase at Drinktec embodies this philosophy, demonstrating how data, design, and purpose can converge to create value for both business and society.”
Industry stakeholders at the event noted that such technology-led interventions could play a pivotal role in future-proofing India’s dairy sector amid rising consumer expectations and competitive pressures.
Tetra Pak is responding to India’s rapidly evolving consumption patterns with a portfolio of innovative formulations and technologies designed to meet the needs of modern, health-conscious consumers.
Producers are now able to deliver differentiated, high-value products such as low-sugar beverages that balance taste and wellness, advanced hydration solutions enriched with electrolytes and functional ingredients, and protein-forward dairy and plant-based alternatives that provide nutrition and satiety.
In addition, lactose-free and fortified dairy offerings with added vitamins and minerals are being introduced to support better nutrition across diverse consumer groups.
