Blake Anderson to depart from ADPI

The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) is preparing for a leadership change

USA – The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) is preparing for a leadership change as Blake Anderson, its president and chief executive officer, announced his departure effective June 30, 2025.

Anderson, who has guided the trade association through significant growth, will collaborate with the ADPI Board of Directors to ensure a smooth transition.

The organization, a leading voice for the dairy ingredients industry, has launched a search for a new CEO to continue its mission of advancing dairy products globally.

Anderson’s tenure at ADPI has been marked by strategic initiatives that strengthened the association’s influence.

Based in Elmhurst, Illinois, ADPI represents manufacturers, marketers, and suppliers, focusing on innovation and global market expansion.

Under Anderson’s leadership, the association enhanced member services, notably launching the Global Ingredients Summit in 2024, which merged key industry events to foster collaboration.

His efforts also included updating dairy ingredient standards, a critical step in maintaining industry credibility.

The board, led by Chair Mindy Berrey of Land O’Lakes, expressed confidence in maintaining stability during the transition.

“Blake’s contributions have been invaluable, and we’re committed to finding a leader to build on his legacy,” Berrey said.

Anderson’s departure comes at a time when ADPI is expanding its focus on sustainability and technical innovation, areas he championed through programs like the Center of Excellence, which provides training and research.

Industry leaders praised Anderson’s impact.

“His vision elevated ADPI’s role in the global dairy sector,” said KJ Burrington, ADPI’s vice president of technical development, crediting Anderson with fostering partnerships that enhanced industry standards.

The association recently added new board members from companies like Agri-Mark, signaling a robust governance structure to navigate the leadership change, as noted by Dairy Foods.

The board aims to appoint a new CEO who will drive innovation and maintain the association’s reputation as a trusted authority in the dairy industry, ensuring continuity in a competitive global landscape.
