This investment marks a significant step for the startup as it taps into the growing demand for sustainable and healthy food options.

INDIA – Nourish You, a Hyderabad-based plant-based nutrition startup, has raised Rs 16 crore in its Series A funding round, led by Sidbi Venture Capital.

The company, known for its superfood offerings, aims to use the funds to scale operations, boost customer retention, and expand its market presence both in India and globally.

According to a report, Nourish You’s existing investors, including Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, Darwinbox co-founder Rohit Chennamaneni, and actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, also participated in this funding round.

The startup, founded by Krishna Reddy, Sowmya Reddy, and Rakesh Kilaru, has been gaining attention for its innovative approach to plant-based nutrition.

The company focuses on superfoods like quinoa and chia seeds, catering to health-conscious consumers seeking alternatives to traditional diets.

Reported by ET Retail, the funds will support Nourish You’s plans to enhance its product line and strengthen its position as a leader in the superfood industry.

The company has already made strides in India’s plant-based market, which is seeing rapid growth due to increasing awareness of health and sustainability.

“This investment marks a pivotal milestone in our journey to make sustainable superfoods a part of everyday nutrition,” said Krishna Reddy, co-founder of Nourish You.

He added that the support from Sidbi Venture Capital will help the company grow quickly and innovate further.

Sidbi Venture Capital, the investment arm of the Small Industries Development Bank of India, sees great potential in Nourish You.

Arup Kumar, managing director of Sidbi Venture Capital, highlighted the opportunity in India’s shifting food trends.

“With India’s deep agricultural heritage and the growing consumer shift toward nutrient-dense, plant-based diets, the sector is poised for significant growth,” Kumar stated.

The plant-based nutrition sector has been attracting attention lately, with other brands like Earthful raising Rs 5 crore last month, as noted in industry reports.

Nourish You’s latest funding comes at a time when investors are increasingly betting on sustainable food ventures.

The company plans to deepen its reach in India while exploring international markets, aiming to capitalize on the global rise in demand for healthier eating options.

With this fresh capital, Nourish You is well-positioned to lead the charge in redefining nutrition for a new generation of consumers.
