CANADA – Kabrita, the world’s leading provider of goat milk nutrition, has launched its Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula in Canada, following approval by Health Canada.
The formula, designed for infants aged 0-12 months, is now available at Walmart and on Amazon.ca, with plans for expansion to other major retailers in the coming months.
According to a report by Kabrita, the formula is made with grass-fed goat milk and contains 25 essential vitamins and minerals, including DHA, ARA, and prebiotics.
The company emphasizes its gentle formulation, which supports digestion and may serve as an alternative for babies sensitive to cow milk-based formulas.
The product is available in 800-gram canisters, providing 44 servings per container, and 400-gram canisters, offering 22 servings.
Elieke Kearns, PhD, RD, Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs for Kabrita North America, expressed confidence in the formula’s benefits, stating, “We are thrilled to expand our product offerings in Canada and bring our Infant Formula and its scientifically-backed benefits to Canadian families.”
She added that as more parents seek high-quality, gentle nutrition for their infants, Kabrita aims to provide a trusted alternative.
Reported by Kabrita, over 1.2 million babies worldwide consume its products daily. The company highlights that its formula is naturally gentle and easy to digest due to the unique properties of goat milk.
Additionally, the formula is produced in Europe using milk sourced from family-run farms in the Netherlands, ensuring high safety and quality standards.
Kabrita is a division of Ausnutria, a Dutch company with more than a century of dairy expertise.
A report by the company indicates that its formula undergoes rigorous safety checks, with more than 90 quality assessments to guarantee compliance with global standards.
Kabrita also emphasizes its commitment to sustainability, stating that its milk is sourced from farms following the Dutch Kwaligeit animal welfare and food safety assurance program.
The company reports that its operations are powered by 94% renewable energy, its canisters are recyclable, and its newest facility is entirely carbon and nitrogen-free.
Kabrita’s expansion into the Canadian infant formula market follows the successful introduction of its toddler nutrition product in the country last summer.
The company views the launch as an opportunity to provide more parents with high-quality, science-backed nutrition for their children.
