Alaska Milk appoints Marjorie Marj Garrovillo as MD

PHILIPPINES – Alaska Milk Corp (AMC) has appointed Marjorie Marj Garrovillo as its new managing director, bringing experience in marketing, sales, operations, innovation, and sustainability.

According to the company, Ms. Garrovillo brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across seven countries and the food, beverage, telecommunications, and consumer goods industries.

In her new role, she will lead AMC as it pursues growth opportunities and advances its goal of providing affordable and accessible nutrition to Filipino families.

The appointment marks Ms. Garrovillo’s return to Alaska Milk parent FrieslandCampina, where she previously served as marketing director in Vietnam.

Before joining AMC, she held senior leadership roles at telecommunications company Smart Communications; food and beverage companies Nestlé, Danone, and Coca-Cola; paints and coatings company AkzoNobel; and consumer goods company Unilever, according to AMC.

“As Marj begins this new chapter with Alaska Milk, we look forward to building on our strong foundations and advancing our commitment to providing affordable and accessible nutrition to Filipino families—in every glass and on every plate,” the company stated.

FrieslandCampina Ingredients President Herman Ermens retires

In 2025, FrieslandCampina Ingredients announced that former President Herman Ermens will retire following a 42-year career with the company.

Ermens has held various roles within the Ingredients business group, playing a crucial role in its evolution into what it is today. Under his leadership, the business group has become a vital strategic pillar of FrieslandCampina.

Former President Herman Ermens will be replaced by Peter Lindeboom, who brings over 12 years of experience within FrieslandCampina and has led Innovation for the Ingredients business group in recent years.
