He will be succeeded by Anne Peter Lindeboom, who is currently Managing Director Innovation within the business group.

NETHERLANDS – FrieslandCampina Ingredients, a global leader in dairy-based ingredients, has announced that President Herman Ermens will retire, effective 1st October 2025, following a 42-year career with the company.
Ermens has held various roles within the Ingredients business group, playing a crucial role in its evolution into what it is today. Under his leadership, the business group has become a vital strategic pillar of FrieslandCampina.
The business group drives profitability and member milk valorisation through high-quality, science-based, and client-focused solutions.
After his retirement as President Ingredients, Ermens will continue as Chair of the Governance Board of DFE Pharma and will hand over this responsibility to Lindeboom at the end of 2026. DFE Pharma, a joint venture in which FrieslandCampina participates, is a global leader in pharmaceutical excipients specialising in lactose-based ingredients for medication.

Lindeboom brings over 12 years of experience within FrieslandCampina and has led Innovation for the business group Ingredients in recent years. He has a solid background in commercial and supply chain roles and possesses extensive knowledge of the ingredients business. As a member of the Executive Team, Lindeboom will report to the CEO of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V.
The CEO expressed his pleasure in welcoming Anne Peter to his new position. He remarked that Anne’s comprehensive knowledge of the business, proven leadership capabilities, and inclusive approach positioned him well to take charge of FrieslandCampina Ingredients.
Van Karnebeek also conveyed his confidence that the business group would continue to develop and prosper under Anne Peter’s guidance.
