The carton features a sloping top, rectangular front panel and optimized base structure designed to improve loading, pallet use and transport efficiency across the supply chain. No currency conversion was required as no financial figures were disclosed.
How LightWing 30 Tethered Cap and Custom Printing Elevate Premium Beverage Branding
The pack is fitted with the LightWing 30 tethered cap, a hinged closure that can be opened in one step, closed again after use and stays connected to the carton to help prevent litter.
The carton’s tall profile and broad front-facing panels give producers more room for product information and printed designs, including through Tetra Pak Custom Printing.
Raghu Chakravarthi, vice president of Packaging Portfolio for Tetra Pak US and Canada, said that the introduction of the 48oz Tetra Brik Aseptic Edge package met the evolving needs of both customers and consumers.
He explained that the sleek design stands out on shelves while the improved functionality and efficient logistics make it a strong choice for those seeking premium beverage products.
What FSC-Certified Paperboard and Recyclable Design Mean for North American Dairy Packaging
Tetra Pak cartons are recyclable and made mainly from renewable materials, including paperboard sourced from Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests and other controlled sources.
The Denton facility produces shelf-stable packaging that allows dairy products to stay safe without additives or preservatives before opening, reducing food waste.
The North America dairy packaging market was valued at US$7.52 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach US$11.06 billion by 2033, growing at 4.37% CAGR, with the paperboard segment anticipated to grow at 8.3% due to rising consumer preference for sustainable packaging.
The 48oz carton’s aseptic design enables ambient distribution while delivering excellent performance in chilled displays, offering flexibility in how products are shipped, stored and merchandised.
The new format is already available in the US and Canada, with Tetra Pak’s expanded Product Development Center in Denton, scheduled to open in Q1 2027, set to support further innovation in the premium beverage category.
