Azelis expands partnership with Biospringer through new Nordic distribution agreement

Biospringer expands its reach in the Nordic region through Azelis’s established customer relationships and strong position in savoury applications.

EUROPE – Azelis has announced an expanded partnership with Biospringer, a Lesaffre company, for yeast-based ingredients.

Since 1st October 2026, Azelis has distributed Biospringer’s portfolio of yeast extracts, yeast proteins and other yeast-derived ingredients to customers in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Customers will gain access to a broad range of yeast-based ingredients, backed by Azelis’s local market knowledge, technical expertise and application support.

This broadens Azelis’ Food & Nutrition portfolio with a complementary range of yeast-based ingredients, creating additional opportunities for customers and principals.

The new agreement builds on the existing relationship between Biospringer and Azelis in Türkiye and Poland.

The expansion into the Nordic region reflects the strong collaboration between the two companies and Azelis’s established position in the savoury segment, supported by its local teams and technical expertise.

Burcu Gezegen Özdemir, Market Segment Director Food & Nutrition & Managing Director Turkiye, Azelis, commented, “We are pleased to expand our partnership with Biospringer into the Nordic region. Their yeast-based ingredients complement our existing Food & Nutrition portfolio and create new opportunities to support customers developing products for evolving consumer preferences. Combined with our local market knowledge and technical expertise, this partnership enables us to bring even greater value to customers across the region.”

By combining Biospringer’s portfolio with Azelis’s market knowledge and application support, the partnership will help customers develop solutions tailored to regional market needs.
