This launch reflects Kerrygold’s continued growth and ambition, bringing the quality of Irish grass-fed dairy to new consumers and occasions worldwide.

USA – Kerrygold has expanded into a new category in the United States with the arrival of the Kerrygold Cream Cheese range at Walmart stores.
Following the successful launch of the cream cheese range in other international markets, including the brand’s home in Ireland and its recent expansion into the UK, the USA launch marks Kerrygold’s entry into one of the world’s largest cream cheese markets.
The range includes four varieties, Original, Strawberry, Honey, and Onion & Chive, each made with cream from Irish grass-fed cows.
Because Kerrygold is produced in Ireland, where the EU has strict food standards, the cream cheese does not contain any gums, like the guar gum found in Philadelphia, or other artificial ingredients, flavors, or dyes. The result is a premium cream cheese with a smooth, creamy texture and a tangy, rich flavor.
The USA cheese market size was valued at US$50.96 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow from US$53.97 billion in 2026 to USD 87.49 billion by 2034, exhibiting a CAGR of 6.23% during the forecast period, according to Fortune Business Insights.
The U.S. cheese market is growing due to increased demand for ready-to-eat foods such as sandwiches, snacks, and similar products.
In addition, the country is heavily investing in upgrading and expanding its production facilities with an abundance of raw materials. Thus, increased adoption of cheese in the food industry positively impacted the market’s growth.
The QSR and food service industry is emerging rapidly in the U.S. It reflects changes in lifestyle, food habits, and consumption patterns among the population. The incidence of dining out, ordering from home, and takeaways is rising, creating an opportunity to cater to a wide range of consumers.
Nutrition-driven purchasing behavior is also influencing market development. Dietitians often recommend nutrient-dense foods rich in calcium and protein, and natural cheese aligns with these dietary recommendations.
However, the growing awareness among consumers about the negative health impacts associated with the consumption of ultra-processed food items, such as ultra-processed cheese, has led to a decline in sales of these products.
