These appointments demonstrate the strength and continuity of the company’s leadership team as it builds dsm-firmenich into a category leader.

SWITZERLAND – dsm-firmenich has announced key leadership changes to its Executive Committee as part of efforts to accelerate growth in high-margin segments and strengthen its market position.
Alessandre Keller will join the company on September 22, 2025, and assume the role of President of Health, Nutrition & Care (HNC) on January 1, 2026, succeeding Philip Eykerman.
Philip will transition to Chief Strategy, M&A and Transformation Officer, remaining on the Executive Committee and leading portfolio development and strategic transformation initiatives.
A Swiss national, Alessandre brings over 25 years of international leadership experience spanning China, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
He has a proven track record in healthcare, nutrition, and FMCG, having driven innovation at Nestlé and guided Unilabs through transformational growth and pandemic challenges.
In parallel, Maurizio Clementi will become President of Taste, Texture & Health (TTH) on January 1, 2026, following the retirement of Patrick Niels after 34 years with the company.
Patrick Niels leaves a legacy of commercial success, customer partnerships, and global leadership. At the same time, Philip Eykerman’s new role reflects his deep experience in M&A, including his pivotal role in the dsm-firmenich merger.
Maurizio, a US-Italian citizen, currently serves as EVP for Taste and has been instrumental in integrating the TTH business since the dsm-firmenich merger. Known for his customer-centric approach and deep expertise, Maurizio has spent 14 years building high-performing teams within the Taste segment.
As dsm-firmenich prepares for the Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) carve-out, Ivo Lansbergen, President of ANH, will step down from the Executive Committee on October 1, 2025, to focus entirely on leading the ANH business through its externalization.
Ivo, who joined the company in 1997, has transformed ANH into a global leader in feed ingredients, reinforcing its position in the food supply chain.
Dimitri de Vreeze, CEO of dsm-firmenich, commented, “I am very pleased to welcome Alessandre and Maurizio to new leadership roles. Both bring ambition, expertise, and purpose-led leadership to help deliver exceptional value for our stakeholders. I thank Patrick for his outstanding contribution over three decades and Philip for his continued support as he transitions into a strategic role.”
Vreeze highlighted that these appointments demonstrate the strength and continuity of the company’s leadership team as it builds dsm-firmenich into a category leader.
