Delhi Milk Scheme unveils premium cow milk and co-branded dairy line

This initiative is part of DMS’s broader strategy to modernize its operations and expand its reach across the Delhi-NCR region.

INDIA – The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) has launched a new range of products, including premium cow milk and co-branded dairy items, taking a significant step forward in revitalizing its presence in the dairy sector.

By introducing cow milk and co-branded products, DMS aims to enhance the quality of its offerings, build greater consumer trust, and empower livestock farmers by connecting them more directly with urban markets.

As part of the launch, 22 new booth allotment letters were handed out to selected applicants, signaling a push to create employment opportunities and strengthen the rural–urban dairy supply chain.

These new booths will join an already extensive network of around 600 DMS booths and 500 affiliated outlets, making high-quality dairy products more accessible to consumers.

The launch event, at the NASC Complex in Pusa, New Delhi, was attended by key officials such as Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), and Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary of DAHD, along with representatives from the Haryana Milk Federation.

In her keynote address, Upadhyaya shared the vision for reinforcing the dairy ecosystem through improved product offerings and inclusive opportunities for stakeholders across the value chain.

Furthermore, Secretary, DAHD lauded the efforts of DMS and Haryana Milk Federation for launching of their new products in the market.

Other officials at the event emphasized the importance of branded dairy products in meeting the evolving demands of urban consumers while supporting rural producers. The move is expected to promote self-reliance among farmers and contribute to inclusive growth within the dairy ecosystem.

The launch of cow milk and co-branded products by DMS not only reflects a commitment to quality and modernization but also reinforces the government’s role in shaping a more resilient and consumer-focused dairy industry.
