GERMANY – SIG, a leading provider of packaging solutions, has unveiled the latest addition to its SIG Neo filling machine portfolio with the global launch of the SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic.
The machine, introduced at Gulfood Manufacturing, is designed to revolutionize the food and beverage industry by offering the world’s fastest and most flexible aseptic carton filling solution for multi-serve formats.
The SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic boasts impressive capabilities, filling up to 15,000 SIG SlimlineBloc packs per hour—representing a 25% increase in output compared to SIG’s standard filling machines for family-sized formats.
According to SIG, this expansion addresses the growing demand for high output and flexibility in the industry, as food and beverage manufacturers seek more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
In an era where facility space is limited, the compact design of the SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic is especially beneficial, allowing producers to enhance their capacity without requiring expensive facility expansions.
SIG’s ability to increase output while maintaining a small footprint is a game-changer, particularly in industries where floor space is at a premium.
“Manufacturers are facing increasing pressure to scale up production while adapting to shifting consumer trends and market demands,” Christoph Wegener, Chief Markets Officer at SIG said .
“With the SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic, we’re meeting these needs by offering a machine that not only accelerates production speed but also provides flexibility and sustainability. Our customers will benefit from a significantly reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), improved operational efficiency, and a minimal waste rate of less than 0.5%.”
The SIG Neo platform has been designed to meet the evolving needs of the food and beverage sector, offering manufacturers the ability to quickly switch between various packaging volumes, including 1L, 750mL, and 500mL.
It can also handle products from multiple categories and materials, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in production.
Moreover, SIG’s SIG Terra suite of even lower carbon aseptic carton packaging materials is compatible with the SIG Neo platform, aligning with the industry’s increasing focus on sustainability.
The new machine features advanced technology such as the SIG Neo HMI (Human-Machine Interface), which allows for intuitive operation and provides valuable insights into the machine’s performance.
In addition, the SIG Neo Shield ensures enhanced sterile airflow and shielding during key processes, reducing up to 95% of airborne particles, thereby improving the overall quality and extending production cycles.
Semi-automatic cleaning capabilities are also part of the SIG Neo platform, ensuring superior cleaning results with minimal downtime.
Gavin Steiner, Chief Technology Officer at SIG, emphasized the impact of this new technology: “The SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic is setting new standards in the industry, offering manufacturers a high-performance solution for fast, flexible, and sustainable production.”
“This innovation will support rapid growth, even in spaces where expansion is limited. I am proud of the SIG team for developing a product that meets the pressing needs of today’s food and beverage manufacturers.”
