UAE – Nestlé UAE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Municipality to fortify collaboration in the realm of food security.
The MoU is designed to facilitate the exchange of information on strategic food commodities, particularly infant formula and milk products, aligning with Dubai’s food security objectives.
The signing ceremony involved representatives from Nestlé and Dubai Municipality, with Nestlé committed to supporting a sustainable food supply chain in the UAE.
According to Hassan Atia, the company’s general business manager, the partnership underscored Nestlé’s dedication to contributing to the UAE’s food security goals and ensuring the availability of essential food products.
“The exchange of information on critical food commodities is expected to enhance coordination and efficiency in addressing food security challenges.”
Nestlé UAE, operating across the United Arab Emirates with offices in key cities, plays a crucial role in the country’s food and beverage sector.
The company employs nearly 400 people and collaborates with over 1,600 customers and more than 10,000 retail outlets, including supermarkets and pharmacies.
The Nestlé portfolio in the UAE encompasses a diverse range of beloved brands in categories such as Dairy, Infant Nutrition, Coffee and Creamers, Confectionery, Breakfast Cereals, Culinary products, and Pet Care.
Notable brands include Nestlé NIDO, Nestlé CERELAC, Nestlé NAN, S-26, PROGRESS, NESCAFÉ, Coffee-mate, KitKat, MAGGI, Nestlé FITNESS, and PURINA Friskies.
