The award was presented by H.E. Diarra Dimé-Labille, Ambassador of France to Ghana, and Guillaume Valence, Board President of the CCIFG.

GHANA – Lio Parent, the Managing Director for FanMilk West Africa, has been named Business Leader of the Year at the 8th CCI France Ghana (CCIFG) Gala Dinner and Awards Night.

CCIFG is one of Ghana’s leading bilateral business networks, connecting approximately 160 Ghanaian and international companies across multiple sectors.

The gala brought together over 200 senior leaders from business, government and international institutions.

“This recognition reflects the sustained transformation and growth of FanMilk Ghana and West Africa and a testament to the commitment and collective effort of our entire team.”

Lio Parent, previously Managing Director of FanMilk Ghana, took on an expanded mandate as Regional Managing Director for West Africa in 2025.

He brings a track record in digital transformation and route-to-market restructuring built across Danone’s African and Middle Eastern operations, and earlier stints at William Grant & Sons and Pernod Ricard managing multiple African markets.

His expanded brief now includes Nigeria, where FanMilk has operated since 1963 out of its Ibadan production facility, alongside Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, and Benin.

The company recorded a 25% year-on-year increase to US$57.1 million in revenue in the first half of 2026, as the company continues to strengthen its operations and expand across key product categories.

Gross profit surged by 89% to US$28.4 million (GH¢316 million). Net profit also more than tripled, rising by 214% to US$7.35 million (GH¢81.9 million) compared with the same period in 2025.

FanMilk disclosed the figures at its 2026 Facts Behind the Figures stakeholder engagement session, which brought together more than 100 shareholders, analysts, regulators, media representatives and other stakeholders virtually.

The company said the strategy has helped sustain double-digit growth across key categories while improving its route-to-market execution and operational efficiency.

For the 2025 financial year, revenue increased by 46% to USD $89.8 million (GH¢1 billion).

Gross profit rose by 47% to US$32.7 million (GH¢364.5 million), while net profit increased by 38% to US$6.13 million (GH¢68.3 million).

Earnings per share also grew by 38% to GH¢0.59. The company said the results reflected disciplined execution, operational improvements and continued focus on strengthening the fundamentals of the business.
