Müller launches spicy milkshake with limited-edition Frijj Chilli Chocolate

The limited-edition Chilli Chocolate milkshake will be available at major retailers until 31 October, or while stocks last.

UK – Müller UK & Ireland has launched a limited-edition Frijj Chilli Chocolate milkshake, which it claims is the first spicy milkshake in the category.

The new flavour combines chocolate with chilli, tapping into the growing ‘swicy’ trend for sweet and spicy flavour combinations. It forms part of Müller’s wider Frijj Freaks Halloween campaign, which sees existing Frijj flavours given new seasonal packaging.

Müller said the launch is designed to appeal to consumers seeking more adventurous and unexpected flavour experiences, while giving retailers an opportunity to drive engagement and impulse purchases in the chilled drinks category during Halloween.

The company cited research indicating that two in five global consumers are seeking more adventurous and unexpected creations in indulgent food and drink.

Rebecca Spellman, drinks lead at Müller Yogurt & Desserts, said: “Consumers are increasingly looking for exciting and unexpected flavour experiences, and Chilli Chocolate delivers a unique combination of sweetness and spice that’s perfect for the season.”

Müller UK & Ireland invests US$61M in its West Lancashire milk production site

In 2025, the company unveiled plans to invest £45 million (US$60.88 million) in its West Lancashire milk production site to enhance its liquid milk production capacity, capability and quality, and create a flagship facility for milk drying.

With the capacity to produce 30% more powdered milk, the business will become a major producer and exporter of powdered milk products made in Britain, with milk from British farms, unlocking new growth opportunities for the site’s supplying farmers.

Following record-high milk production on the farm during the 2025 spring flush, the extra drying capacity also gives the business significantly enhanced milk balancing capabilities.

The company has also confirmed, as part of a long-term programme designed to drive security of supply and help farmers operate successful and progressive enterprises, it is investing in its relationships with the site’s supplying farmers.

As a first step, the dairy company will introduce its incentivised Müller Advantage programme for Müller Direct Skelmersdale supplying farmers, an initiative that provides farmers with the knowledge and skills to proactively address areas like responsible sourcing, cow health and environmental issues.
