Azelis receives two awards at Fi India 2026 innovative product showcase

Principals see the functionality of their ingredients demonstrated in market-relevant applications designed around evolving consumer preferences in India.

INDIA – Azelis’ Food & Nutrition team has received two awards at the Fi India 2026 Innovative Product Showcase.

The Lactofree-lite Milkshake was awarded first runner-up, while the CheesyFit Dip received second runner-up, recognising two formulations developed to combine enhanced nutrition with an enjoyable consumer experience.

Customers benefit from Azelis’s formulation expertise in developing protein- and fibre-enriched food and beverage concepts that address technical challenges while delivering on taste and texture.

Azelis’s two awards recognise its Food & Nutrition team’s ability to turn ingredient expertise and market insights into practical formulation concepts.

The Lactofree-lite Milkshake, awarded first runner-up, combines 10% added protein with reduced sugar in a lactose-free chocolate formulation.

It delivers a rich taste, smooth texture and balanced sweetness while addressing common high-protein dairy challenges, including cocoa sedimentation, separation and shelf-life stability.

The CheesyFit Dip, awarded second runner-up, combines cheddar and peri-peri flavour with 19.5% protein and 5.6% fibre.

Suitable for dipping or drizzling, it maintains a smooth, spoonable texture and stable emulsion during processing through a combination of plant-based rice protein, soluble prebiotic fibre and a specialised stabilising system.

The two recognised concepts demonstrate how Azelis’s application teams combine technical expertise with an understanding of local consumer trends to solve formulation challenges.

Through ingredient selection, prototyping and application testing, the team supports customers in developing products that balance nutritional targets with the sensory qualities consumers expect.

Aparna Khurana, Managing Director India, said, “Receiving recognition for two formulations reflects the breadth of expertise within our application team in India. Both concepts address challenges our customers face when developing foods with enhanced nutritional profiles, where adding protein or fibre can affect stability, texture and taste.

“By combining our principals’ ingredients with formulation expertise and local market insight, we can help customers develop concepts that deliver both nutritional benefits and an enjoyable consumer experience.”

Across its network of application laboratories, Azelis combines local market knowledge, technical expertise and formulation support to help customers address product development challenges.

Its Food & Nutrition teams work closely with customers and principals to explore ingredient functionality and develop formulations that respond to changing market and consumer needs.
