Magnum Ice Cream Company introduces Caramel Pop in India

INDIA – The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC), a global ice cream brand, has announced the launch of Magnum Caramel Pop in India, an innovation that brings a twist to the brand’s offerings in the premium ice cream segment.

Magnum Caramel Pop reflects the brand’s focus on product innovation. Crafted with Magnum’s thick Belgian chocolate, infused with caramelized pops and layered over caramel ice cream swirls, the new offering delivers a multi-textural experience for consumers.

As part of TMICC, a US$10.59 billion (€9 billion) global ice cream business, Magnum continues to be a brand combining global expertise with KWIL’s local heritage, manufacturing footprint, and distribution network. It is witnessing double-digit growth, particularly within the quick commerce ecosystem in India.

The launch is amplified through an OOH campaign in cities across India, where life-sized Caramel Pop ice cream sticks are displayed on the imagery of the brand’s cracking chocolate.

The campaign film, conceptualised by TBWA\Lintas, celebrates the craftsmanship behind Magnum Caramel Pop, capturing the journey from the crack of Belgian chocolate to the layers within.

Chitrank Goel, Deputy Managing Director, Kwality Wall’s (India) Limited (KWIL) said, “We are focused on accelerating premiumisation in India by building a strong, future-ready portfolio. As a part of The Magnum Ice Cream plays a central role in this journey as a key pillar of our overall growth strategy.

“With Caramel Pop, we are continuing to push the boundaries of indulgence through decadent flavors, while strengthening our leadership in the premium segment.

The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) completed the acquisition of 61.9% of the equity shares of Kwality Wall’s (India) Limited (KWIL) under the terms of the Share Purchase Agreement with Unilever dated June 25, 2025.

A mandatory tender offer, made in accordance with applicable Indian laws, is currently underway and it is expected to conclude within the next 4–6 months.

If, pursuant to the tender offer, TMICC’s shareholding in KWIL exceeds 75%, TMICC will be required to reduce its shareholding to not more than 75% within one year, in order to comply with the minimum public shareholding requirements.

Kwality Wall’s is one of India’s most iconic frozen dessert brands, with a legacy that stretches back to 1956. Headquartered in Mumbai, it has grown into a household name, offering a wide variety of ice creams and frozen treats that cater to diverse tastes and budgets.

Over the decades, Kwality Wall’s has introduced products such as Cornetto cones, Magnum bars, and its own signature range of ice creams, becoming synonymous with indulgence and everyday enjoyment.
