The expanded facility will be built on an additional 2.5 acres, supplementing the existing 5-acre complex, and will be equipped with modern machinery to produce a wide array of fresh dairy products including curd, lassi, chaach, Mishti Doi, paneer, and more.
The ceremony was led by Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Purvi Champaran, and attended by Dr. Meenesh Shah and other officials from NDDB and Mother Dairy.
These strategic developments are poised to provide direct market access to thousands of dairy farmers across Bihar, enhancing their livelihoods while ensuring a consistent supply of safe, hygienic, and high-quality milk and dairy products to consumers.
The news follows the company’s announcement of a turnaround in its financial performance for fiscal year 2024, recording a 180% increase in net profit to Rs 106 crore, compared to a net loss of Rs 133 crore in FY23.
The dairy firm attributes this impressive recovery to lower procurement prices, which helped boost profitability.
According to business intelligence firm Tofler, the company also saw a modest 3% increase in revenue, which reached Rs 15,037 crore during the same period.
