Danone unveils Tropical Mango & Coconut Pudding in Egypt

The product is part of Danone’s broader mission to bring health through food.

EGYPT – Danone Egypt, a dairy company, has launched Mango Alphonso & Coconut Pudding, adding a vibrant new flavour to its popular Danette dessert line.

This creamy treat blends the rich sweetness of Alphonso mangoes, often referred to as the king of mangoes, with the smooth, tropical flavour of coconut milk, creating a velvety pudding that’s perfect for snack time or dessert.

The new flavour joins Danette’s existing lineup of indulgent puddings, which includes classics like Chocolate, Vanilla, and Crème Caramel. With its tropical twist, the Mango & Coconut variant is designed to appeal to Egyptian consumers seeking refreshing, exotic flavors during the hot summer months.

Danone’s launch reflects its ongoing commitment to innovation and consumer satisfaction in the Egyptian market, where it has maintained a strong presence for over two decades.

Danone S.A unveils Nutriday Orange-Pine Dairy Drink

The new product follows the company’s introduction of its latest offering, the Nutriday Orange-Pine Dairy Drink, a refreshing blend of orange and pineapple flavours combined with creamy dairy, targeting moms and families seeking a nutritious and tasty option.

This new addition to the Nutriday range is now available on store shelves across South Africa, offering a convenient 1.5-liter pack size ideal for household use.

The Nutriday Orange-Pine Dairy Drink is fortified with live cultures and 12 essential vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins A, D, E, and a range of B vitamins (such as B2, B6, and B12), as well as zinc and calcium.

According to Danone Southern Africa’s official product details, these nutrients are carefully selected to support everyday health, with a single serving providing approximately 15% of the daily recommended intake for these essential micronutrients.

This aligns with Danone’s mission to address nutritional deficiencies prevalent in South Africa.

According to the South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 43.6% of South African children under five suffer from Vitamin A deficiency, while 27.2% of the population lacks adequate zinc intake, both of which are critical for immune function and growth.

The inclusion of live cultures also supports gut health, a growing focus in nutritional science due to its link to overall well-being.

In South Africa, where malnutrition remains a challenge, such fortification is significant. According to the Global Nutrition Report, 27% of South African children under five are stunted due to chronic undernutrition, highlighting the need for accessible, nutrient-rich foods.

The Nutriday Orange-Pine Dairy Drink, with its fortified profile, offers a practical solution for families looking to boost their intake of key nutrients in a palatable format.
