WAMCO unveils “Deeds Beyond Measure” initiative to foster community kindness

The initiative kicked off in early April

NIGERIA – FrieslandCampina WAMCO, a leading Nigerian dairy company renowned for its Three Crowns milk brand, has launched an inspiring initiative called “Deeds Beyond Measure” to promote acts of kindness and community unity across Nigeria.

Reported by company officials, the program aims to encourage Muslims to sustain the spirit of Ramadan through ongoing benevolence, spiritual growth, and community service.

The initiative, which kicked off in early April, features a series of weekly challenges designed to inspire participants to engage in meaningful acts of goodwill.

One of the initial activities encouraged individuals to memorize and recite Quranic verses, sharing 30-second videos of their recitations on social media platforms to inspire others.

“This is about fostering a culture of generosity that transcends the holy month,” said a spokesperson for FrieslandCampina WAMCO, emphasizing the program’s goal to create a ripple effect of kindness.

Another key component of the initiative involves promoting communal Iftar meals, where participants are encouraged to share nutritious meals within their neighborhoods.

FrieslandCampina WAMCO has taken this a step further by organizing extensive Iftar programs across major Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Kano, and Ibadan.

These events provide wholesome meals to Muslim faithful, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting communities during significant cultural moments.

“We believe sharing a meal strengthens bonds and uplifts spirits,” a company representative noted during a recent event in Lagos.

To ensure widespread impact, FrieslandCampina WAMCO has partnered with local community leaders and religious organizations to distribute meals and promote the initiative’s challenges.

The company, which has been a staple in Nigeria’s dairy industry for decades, is leveraging its established network of over 12,000 local farmers to support the program’s logistics, ensuring that fresh, high-quality dairy products are incorporated into the meals provided.

The “Deeds Beyond Measure” initiative also aligns with FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s broader sustainability goals, which include empowering local communities and promoting nutritional awareness.

By focusing on acts of kindness, the company aims to address social challenges while reinforcing its role as a socially responsible brand.

According to company reports, the initiative has already reached thousands of participants, with social media engagement growing steadily as individuals share their experiences online.

As Nigeria navigates economic and social challenges, including a projected hunger crisis affecting millions in 2025, FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s efforts highlight the power of corporate-led community initiatives.

The program is expected to continue throughout the year, with plans to expand its reach to rural  areas, ensuring that the spirit of unity and generosity touches every corner of the nation.
