UK – Macphie Ltd, a leading supplier of dairy cream alternatives has named Angela Willows as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Willows, who has previously held senior roles at Nestlé in both Switzerland and Canada, brings over 20 years of experience in finance and business strategy to the Scottish-based food ingredients firm.
In her new role, Willows will manage the financial operations of Macphie, a company known for its wide range of products, including sauces, bakery items, ice cream inclusions, and plant-based and gluten-free ingredients.
Macphie employs over 250 people and generates more than US$79 million in revenue annually. The Aberdeenshire company, established in 1928, has seen significant growth in recent years, particularly in international exports.
Willows’ background in financial planning, digital innovation, and business growth will be crucial as Macphie aims to strengthen its presence in key international markets, such as the Middle East.
Originally from Alberta, Canada, she began her career with Coca-Cola Bottling before joining Nestlé in Toronto.
Over the next two decades, she held various leadership roles between Canada and Nestlé’s headquarters in Switzerland.
Speaking about her new role, Willows expressed enthusiasm about joining Macphie during a pivotal time for the company.
“I’m excited to be part of Macphie’s growth journey,” she said.
Macphie, which was founded in Glasgow before relocating to Glenbervie, Stonehaven in 1973, has built a global reputation for producing high-quality food ingredients for the hospitality industry.
The company’s leadership team has also recently undergone significant changes, including the appointment of Paul McGovern as head of human resources and Donald MacDonald as operations director.
Macphie’s CEO, Andy Stapley, commented on the new appointment, highlighting Willows’ experience in leading major financial transformations during her time at Nestlé.
He added that her vision would be valuable as Macphie continues its global expansion.
